FAQ

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about MARSRIVA products and services.

How to choose the appropriate solar inverter power rating?

When selecting the power rating of an inverter, consider the following factors: total power of the PV system (the inverter power should match the total power of the PV arrays), load requirements (choose the appropriate power based on household or equipment power needs), and expansion plans (if there are plans for future expansion, choose an inverter with parallel function).

Do your Solar Inverter support BMS communication with other brands of lithium battery packs?

Yes, our inverters generally support BMS communication for multiple brands of lithium battery packs, but it may be different for each model. Before purchasing other brands of batteries, it is recommended to check the user manual or contact our support team to confirm which brands of batteries are compatible with this model of inverter.

What types of batteries can the inverter connect to?

Our Power Inverter supports connecting lead-acid batteries and LAR(Lead acid replacement) batteries. And our Solar Inverter supports connecting lead-acid batteries, LAR batteries and Lithium Battery Pack.

What is Off-Grid, On-Grid, and Hybrid Solar Inverter?

Off-grid Inverter can directly transmit PV power or mains power to the output, or store them in the battery.

On-Grid Inverter can transmit the power of PV array to the grid for power generation. But it cannot store the power.

Hybrid Inverter has both off-grid and grid-connected functions. It can use batteries to store power, and can also transmit battery or photovoltaic power to the grid.

What are the types of inverters?

Power Inverters are common and traditional inverter type, which mainly has the functions of charging batteries and converting battery power into AC output. Some can add PV charging function.

Solar Inverters are specially used for photovoltaic systems. Solar inverters can be divided into three common types: Off-Grid, On-Grid, and Hybrid. Solar inverters have many setting options, which can adapt to various of usage scenarios and user needs, and are more intelligent. Generally, computer software or even mobile phone APP can be used to monitor the working status of the inverter.

What is inverter? What is its function?

Inverter is a type of device that converts the direct current (DC) power of batteries into alternating current (AC) power output. It is usually used in backup power systems or photovoltaic systems. It can use the electricity in batteries for the load during a power outage and charge the battery when mains power is available, or be used in conjunction with PV panels to store solar energy in batteries or for direct power output.
